Things We May Never Know (my first solo show!)

In ‘Things We May Never Know’, Cheng uses objects that belong to international students from Asia to explore the isolation of being an outsider in a foreign land. In the images, objects are on the focus, compared to the owner which only shows part of their body in obscure. As the title suggests, what we can see is only part of them, and there is always something in different culture is which we will never know.

The project is going to Before Exhibition Gallery (Kiállítás Előtt Galéria) in Budapest, from 2 Apr - 30 Apr 2010.

The gallery is by appointment only, Krisztina Fazekas +36 30 5098896

There will be an opening on 2 April 2010 (Friday) Evening, and an Artist Talk (date TBC)

Fresh from its overwhelming success at the London Art Fair in January, BEARSPACE reprises PRINT NOW, an innovative exhibition of over 100 works by emerging artists based on the concept of PRINT as a medium and a repetitive process.

Artists have been selected by a panel of curators and writers who arespecifically concerned with emerging art, including Julia Alvarez, Director of BEARSPACE, Kay Saatchi, collector and curator, Pryle Behrman, writer and curator of Art Projects and Mike Sims, Deputy Editor of Printmaking Today.

One of my images, 'Still Life of Gucci Melon' from the series 'Still Life with Fruits', is going to presented in the exhibition.
I will be at the opening, please come to join us if you are around the area!
